about

tl;dr - this is a quickly cobbled together thing made because of unforeseeable issues that I made in case I couldn't do anything else this month.

So a couple of set backs happened at the end of November, primarily that my household contracted bed bugs. The treatment for that is to pack everything up and have an exterminator come by and treat the house and furniture so that cut into my plans of modifying the November release into an album as well as making any tapes over the last month. I haven't had the time to do anything but pack and other work duties so I'm behind and discouraged about that since I've been trying to put out a release every month lately. Then I had the idea to just stretch the tempo of each track to 30 minutes, pan the audio, and do a little mastering to each track to make a cacophonous mess. So this is that. Side A is the first 15 tracks of November and Side B is the last 15 tracks. It's subtitle may as well be 'November for the relatively impatient'. I listened to all of November a few times. Most of it only sounded good to me once or twice, which is predictable since it was literally me pressing record and dicking around with various gear. I'm cool with that and do intend on going back to it to hack it into pieces and make good with it. Hopefully soon.

I decided to put this release under the Fuck Oceans moniker because it fits that project to a fault. I think one or two things have been physically released by FO but not in any mass quantities. I think this might get a small release as well since I'm actually pretty fond of it.

The hand is mine after being fucked up by trying to move all of the furniture in my house into the center of my house (so the exterminator could spray the base boards) on my own in one night while also packing all the miscellaneous bits we didn't get around to bagging/boxing up. It didn't work and we had to push back the extermination date but Jacob has been a cool dude. The red light is from my curtains which masked all the cracks in my hand from the dust and winter dryness. After being physically exhausted and collapsing on my futon this was the last thing I saw.

I'm dedicating An Hour of My Own to Lucy Echo, who we lost suddenly last month. I wish I knew her well enough to justify this dedication but although we only met in person a handful of times I appreciate her work and personality. Her passing also put some personal things in perspective for me which is stupid and selfish while being true. Godspeed Jordan, be at peace.
